Abstract:
The Recurrent rates of laparoscopic anti-reflux operations is still high, especially for the patients with large hiatal hernia (HH). The optimal technique for redo-laparoscopic anti-reflux operations remains debatable. The purpose of this study was to analyze the outcomes of redo-fundoplication. We analyzed data on 1235 consecutive patients with hiatal hernias, who were operated in Odessa regional clinical hospital for period from January 2008 to January 2022. Patient data included demographics, BMI, techniques of the first and redo surgeries (using of different types of mesh implants), perioperative morbidity, perioperative complications, duration of hospitalization, time to recurrence, and follow-up.
