The manual consists of five chapters. They include infectious diseases of the respiratory tract, such as viral respiratory diseases, influenza and parainfluenza, measles, scarlet fever, diphtheria, whooping cough, epidemic parotitis, meningococcal infection and others. All the acute intestinal infections (dysentery, salmonellosis, cholera, escherichiosis, typhoid fever, poliomyelitis, viral hepatites) and HIV/ AIDS in children are also viewed in this part. The book is illustrated and reflects the world and Ukrainian experience in the learning of infectious diseases. The textbook is intended for doctors-interns and students of higher medical institutions.
